Institute of Economic and Cultural Geography
Hanover’s Economic Geography primarily researches the regional economic structural change in countries /regions of varying development status (e.g. in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia). Since 2009 the economic geography group in Hanover is a member of DIME (= Dynamics of Institutions and Markets in Europe), the EU-funded european excellence cluster on innovation research, started in 2005. Research focal points of cultural Geography are labour Geography / labour market Geography and urban social Geography. Regional foci are Germany and France.
