Gentle waters crop protection for conservation grown fruit farming landscapes in Germany
Description:
Major fruit-growing areas in Germany as the regions of the Lower Elbe ('Altes Land') and at Lake Constance waters are relatively rich. The use of plant protection products in orchards that are in close proximity to water bodies leads, in practice, including by buffer zones and gaps in significant reduction in yield, quality and thereby threaten its very existence to some extent economic disadvantages. The aim of this project is therefore an example to reduce the fruit-growing areas 'Old Country' and 'Lake' with the use of modern drift reduced crop protection technology in commercial farms, the possibility of entry of pesticides into adjacent waters further, so as to ensure better protection of aquatic organisms and sustainably contribute to preserve the traditional landscape structures grown there. To efficiency and manageability Abtriftuntersuchungen and assessments for the technique in practical applications that allow for practice and consulting firms to undertake a classification of the different technical possibilities in practical application and technical aspects. These studies support the 'old country' by a chemical-biological water monitoring, the comparative statements for entry and impact of these new permits compared to conventional instrumentation.
