Regional biological school meals
Description:
'In the Schwalm-Eder-Kreis (Hessen) to be a model developed to introduce a regional, organic school meals under the relevant aspects of education, home economics, organization, business management and organic farming and tested in practice. The educational, technical and organizational preparation of selected schools as part of the project, such as crop planning of farms and the planning of logistics and supply structures for the processing and distribution. the examination and testing process is supported by the University and supported. the experience will be evaluated by all project participants in a joint project steering group. the project requires the collection of the given production and processing structures in the region, coordinating the various actors in the value chain and the involvement and advice to schools and school management. Results should be the practical development and implementation of a regional environmental education concept in catering practice-relevant scale. A consulting and package of measures to educate and raise awareness among students, parents and teachers will be developed and created a practical guide. In addition, the results should be published nationally by appropriate seminars and information sessions in the teacher training colleges and associations, and made useful. '
