Testing and evaluation of biological safety of air pollution control equipment (BioAbluftR) in livestock
Description:
'The joint project on biosafety of biological waste air purification systems (BioAbluftR) pursues the following goals: recognition of the raw and clean gas concentrations of microorganisms and endotoxins; determining the retention capacity of bioaerosols under various operating conditions, adjustment of the operational settings of BioAbluftR to minimize bioaerosol emissions while maintaining the Cleaning services for odor, ammonia and total dust, characterizing the inherent microflora on the microbial composition of the pure gas and for the pooling of food hygienically relevant microorganisms in BioAbluftR; derivation of optimization strategies and recommendations for the practical operation of BioAbluftR, result-oriented environmental and food hygiene risk analysis for the operation of BioAbluftR . This will cover air pollutants (gases, odors, particulates, bioaerosols) in the raw and clean gas from two BioAbluftR operated as a three-stage air purification system and as a biofilter to a respective fattening pen. Each plant is sampled in the experimental phase of one year each, and accompanied by measurement. In addition to the airborne microflora regularly, process water and surface samples analyzed for hygienically relevant microorganisms. Accompanying this, all relevant operating parameters are detected with in order to assess factorial influences on the quality of the clean gas release with you. The project would provide on the basis of measurement data, which form the basis for an assessment of the biological safety of the investigated BioAbluftR. The exploitation of the results includes not only publications in relevant scientific forums (journals, conferences) also corresponding information flows in the direction of animal owners, contractors and supervisor to be able to express at best operational and monitoring recommendations for action.
