GLOWA Elbe II - Subproject 7: water resources management and water availability in the Elbe catchment area under the conditions of global change (water resources management / ArcGRM)
Description:
The main objective of the proposed project is to create a tool by the management model ArcGRM Elbe for facilitating a different space-time analysis of the hydrological / water managment issues and problems of water resource management in the whole catchment area of the Elbe. The scenarios are derived in the context of global change (effects on climate, water supply, social water demand) and evaluated nonmonetary, water-managementally and environmentally. The main working steps are: - structuring of the management model for the Elbe catchment area - Enlargement of teh basis software ArcGRM as well as problem-specific modules - Development of the submodules ArcGRM Elbe - reunification of all components to the overall model ArcGRM Elbe - Derivation and analysis of strategies for action, - Evaluation of conflict specific options.
