GLOWA Elbe II - Subproject 2: regionalisation of socio-economic development paths / cost-effectiveness analysis of strategies to reduce nutrient entries / economy of land use in wetlands
Description:
The objective of the project 'Regionalisation of global change' is to scale down different scenarios of global climatic and social change on the scale level of sub-areas of the Elbe. The work of the Elbe GLOWA is based on the Drivers-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR) concept for the analysis of effects of Global Change. It is the task of the project to deduce potential changes of 'driving forces' and resulting 'environmental pressures' and to quantify their contribution to tightening or relaxation of conflicts regarding surface water availability, surface water quality and flood risk. Methods: (a) land use model (LAND USE SCANNER) (b) agricultural business model (MODAM) (c) costs - effectiveness analysis.
