Determination of causes of bovine neonatal Pancytopenie
Description:
'Project Objective: The objective of the proposed work is to determine the cause (s) of the last three years, with increasing incidence in young calves occurring disease that is characterized by hemorrhagic diathesis on the basis of bone marrow damage and high lethality. Work planning: The project is carried out in two sub-projects. The first part deals mainly with the epidemiology of why some companies have very high incidences, while others have only single affected calf. In the second part of the work associated with immunologic identification of the specificity of autoantibodies of BNP-transfer agents, identification of candidate antigens by mass spectrometry, and validation of the identified autoantigens with purified candidate proteins '
