Heart rate variability in hens selected on feather pecking behaviour
Description:
The overall objective of this task is to provide information in order to better understand the motivational background of feather pecking with the ultimate goal of reducing feather pecking in commercial hybrids of laying hens. These goals will be pursued by investigating electro-cartographic responses in hens with a known phenotypic and genotypic (breeding value) level of feather pecking.
