State Institute for Teaching and Research on Milk - Dr. Oscar-Farny Institute (LAZBW)
At the location Wangen is the main competence center for apprenticeship education and training in the dairy industry in Baden-Wuerttemberg. It serves both dairies as well as state departments of contact for all dairy issues, investigations and experiments. For apprenticeship education and training in dairy industry professions fully equipped training and testing dairy and chemical and microbiological laboratories are available to students. In the accredited laboratories a wide range of dairy analysis is offered. In the school hostel 'Allgäu dairy school Wangen' young consumers are taught about the basics of milk production and processing, and nutrition.
