Purpose of research: Networks and research co-ordination

Management of and participation in national and international committees working to set legal limits, quality criteria, regulations and methods of analysis for oilseeds, fats and oils with the aim of an international harmonisation.

Participation in the preparation of the following standards:

  • Regulation (EEC) No. 2568/91 on the characteristics of olive oil and olive pomace oils and on the relevant methods of analysis;
  • Regulation (EC) No. 1019/2002 on marketing standards for olive oil;
  • German Standard Methods for the analysis of fats and other lipids;
  • ISO and CEN standards (DIN EN standards) and
  • official analytical methods to § 35 of the German Food Act
