Description

In January 2006 the Leibniz Institute for Organic Catalysis at the University of Rostock (IfOK) and the Institute for Applied Chemistry Berlin-Adlershof (ACA) merged and the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis at the University of Rostock was born. The Leibniz Institute for Catalysis is the largest publicly funded research institute in Europe performing application-oriented research in the field of catalysis. We are your partner for research and development of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts as well as for catalytic processes. Our expertise in catalysis research is orientated on methods and on chemical compounds. Among the main research areas are: * CO chemistry and chemistry of metal organic complexes * C–C coupling reactions * Selective oxidation reactions * Preparation of catalytically active materials and nanoporous inorganic membranes * Reaction engineering and high-throughput technologies * Asymmetric catalysis * In-situ investigations and operando spectroscopy * Analysis of optically active compounds
