Purpose of research: Applied research
With regard to the difficult discrimination of hybrids in register tests the aim of the project is to get proficiency about the technical feasibility of the differentiation of rapeseed hybrids by using public molecular markers. The project shall enhance the German expertise in regard to molecular markers in a pilot study on an international basis (c.f., NIAB, GEVES) and shall flank a current EU project of several Plant Variety Offices concering the use of molecular markers for optimizing reference collections.
