Project code: JKI-GF-08-002
Contract period: 01.01.2001 - 31.12.2021
Purpose of research: Applied research

The aim of the EU active substances evaluation is to harmonize the authorization of plant protection products in Europe. The Institute examined in the cases in which Germany is rapporteur Member State for the EU active substances evaluation whether the active substance is in principle suitable for use in plant protection products and is involved in the creation of the active substances monograph. In 'zonal authorization procedure' examine and evaluate the institute pending products as a central rapporteur for the entire zone, sometimes also for all of Europe when it comes to greenhouse applications, based on the submitted documents for the test areas efficacy and phytotoxicity. The result of the evaluation will be documented in a report for the respective EU approval zone, connected with a recommendation for approval decision for national implementation in Germany. These documents are then made ??available to the BVL for its further management decisions. In the area of ??orchards and vineyards, the Institute coordinates the activities.
