Coordinating institution: Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation

CROP.SENSe.net is a network of researchers and stakeholders dedicated to the development and deployment of novel sensor technologies to enable the assessment of the internal and external properties of crop plants. The network will quantify morphological and physiological characteristics of crop varieties using fast measurement non-destructive scanning methods including high throughput Phenomics, determine elucidation of metabolic processes via Deep Phenotyping, and assist improved crop management through Precision farming. CROP.SENSe.net aims to develop, and further improve existing, non- or minimal-invasive sensor techniques for the application, deployment and implementation of sensory methods in crop research, crop breeding and crop management.
