Purpose of research: Applied research
The goal of the project is to produce L-Methionine ecologically with microorganims from renewable ressources without using genetic engineering. Teh strategy consist of a biocatalyst and substrate screening, the medium and process optimization and afterwards product extraction or (much more cheaper) the direct use of the biomass and/or fermentation broth for animal feeding.
