Description
The Ministry for the Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture is responsible for environmental, energy and climate policy in Hamburg. The BUKEA is divided into five specialist departments, which deal with the topics of "Water, Wastewater and Geology", "Nature Conservation and Green Planning", "Immission Control and Waste Management", "Energy and Climate" and "Agriculture, Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites". There is also the "Central Tasks, Law and Participations" office and the Institute for Hygiene and the Environment.
