Purpose of research: Applied research
The occurrence of pests and beneficial insects in vegetables and ornamental plants, as well as urban green is extensively studied with regard to biology, diagnosis and prognosis opportunity and new emerging host-/parasiterelationship are of particular interest.
Development of components such as simulation models and pest control thresholds for targeted pest management in important field crops such as cole crops, carrots, onions and leek. Evaluation of different mulching materials for use in organic vegetable farming. Development of decision tools for the improved use of beneficials in greenhouse vegetables.
