Production processes

Project code: EIP-Agri-Bay-2026
Contract period: 01.01.2026 - 31.12.2028
Budget: 512,843 Euro
Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
Keywords: soil arable crops, agro-ecology crop rotation/crop diversification/dual-purpose or mixed cropping

While previous studies on regenerative agriculture mainly looked at ecological and soil biological aspects, this project aims to survey practical and economic parameters. For example, the reduction of fertilizers and pesticides is not only beneficial in terms of the environment and biodiversity protection, but also contributes to the economic success of the farm. In addition, consumers are increasingly shopping more consciously and no longer accept chemical residues in their food. Regenerative farming methods help farmers differentiate themselves from the conventional mass market in this regard. More in-depth knowledge based on applied research under practical conditions will help farmers overcome previous obstacles and hurdles and implement innovative farming methods in their farm management.
