Project code: LWK_2025_V_(9)
Contract period: 02.01.2026 - 31.12.2026
Budget: 14,668 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: variety comparison, variety testing, beetroot, Rhizoctonia

Aims of the reasearch project: Identifying differences between varieties in terms of susceptibility to Rhizoctonia solni in order to provide agricultural businesses with well-founded recommendations on which varieties to use when growing beetroot in locations at risk of Rhizoctonia. Differences in the germination capacity of different beetroot varieties should also be identified. In this context, a germination test for beetroot should be developed that reflects the expected field emergence in practice as accurately as possible. - randomized block design with four replicates
