Intelligent and Digital Soil Sample Management (DIB)
Project
Project code: EIP-Agri-Bay-2024-BD
Contract period: 01.01.2024
- 31.12.2026
Budget: 257,758 Euro
Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
Keywords: soil, digitalisation, incl. data and data technologies
The DIB project serves zo optimize and digitalize the process of planning, conducting and evaluating the results of soil sampling in agricultural fields for the farmer. The aim is to provide the farmer with more precise information about the supply status of his soils. In the project, the entire sampling process from ordering to evaluation of the sample results is to be digitalized. To this end, the varous players in a sampling campaign (advisory service provider, farmer, soil sampler, laboratory and farming software) are to be networked so that information and data can be exchanged. For an optimized and meaningful distribution of the samples in the field, satellite data and data from a gamma spectrometer from the field will be recorded and used. The organization and execution of the sampling will be digitally supported and accompanied by consulting. The required documentation will be automated and results will be stored digitally to be available to the farmer for further measures together with the field.
