The aim of the project is to generate an alternative use for grassland and make it available as feed for other livestock by feeding it to the larvae of the black soldier fly. In this way, locations that are not interesting for arable farming could also make a significant contribution to feeding the world's population in the future. A central component of the implementation is the shredding of the green fodder in order to make it as available as possible for the insects. In addition, the fattening process must be adapted to the feed. In the further course of the project, the feed recipe based on green fodder and the corresponding grassland stock are to be further optimized.
