agrathaer GmbH and IGZ want to work together to establish Brandenburg as a model region for open field vegetable production. As regional coordinators, the partners in the alliance support and accompany the demonstration farms in the Brandenburg model region. The aim of the model and demonstration project is to transfer knowledge and experience about innovative cultivation methods that are not yet sufficiently widespread into broad horticultural practice. Due to its sandy and nutrient-poor soils, Brandenburg's agriculture faces location-specific challenges. These are exacerbated by the effects of climate change. Optimizing existing processes or establishing innovative processes with specialized digital solutions can be a solution to the future challenges facing agriculture. However, there is often a certain amount of skepticism about the introduction of such processes. In order to show other practitioners the advantages of innovative methods, the demonstration farms are to serve as model farms. Together with a target group-oriented knowledge transfer focusing on the exchange of knowledge and mutual learning among practitioners, the transfer to broad horticultural practice is to be ensured. Practical experience is to be compiled and disseminated for practical use. Practical workshops, field and farm days, and digital and analog dissemination channels are to contribute to this.
