Purpose of research: Networks and research co-ordination
Based on satellite imagery of the EU Copernicus program, the AGRO-DE project developed both products and principle applications for agriculture. The project results enable users to provide agricultural advisory services, which are better adapted to site conditions. The results cover 1. the development and establishing of an AGRO-DE spatial data infrastructure for import, processing and storage of agricultural raster data time series as well as OGC web services, 2. the development of in-house and cloud-based process chains for generating analysis ready Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 mosaics and indices, 3. the establishing of algorithms von agricultural information products including soil and plant development parameters, yield estimates, crop type classifications or harvest dates as well as 4. maps of demand-based and site-specific fertilisation.
