Purpose of research: Applied research
Light is the most important key element for good plants growth performance and can increase the primary production in greenhouses of horticulture companies. Objective of the project is to develop specific, modular, and cost-efficient LED-light systems for usage in greenhouses. By using different spectral ranges plant growth parameters can be modulated and optimized for the respective crop by overall enhancement of the primary production. Aim is to improve crop quality (secondary metabolite content), higher yield per area, shorter cultivation time and better timing of crop for marketing.
