Project code: JKI-A-08-1240
Contract period: 01.07.2016 - 30.06.2019
Purpose of research: Applied research

The PARES project is targeting novell resitance sources against the virulence group Pa3 including the recent Emsland population from wild genotypes. Resistance traits shell be identified, characterised molecularly and crossed with Solanum tuberosum by breeding companies. During the first reporing period (1st year) over 200 clones of different wild potatoe accessions were investigated and 12 clones from the GLKS gene bank carried significant resistance against both Pa3 virulence types. Concordantly similar results were obtained by using either tubers or in-vitro cultured material. Investigations are ongoing.
