Purpose of research: Public relations
The non-native Common Ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) is an agricultural weed and a health hazard as it causes severe allergies. The aim of the programme is to raise awareness in the public and in various administrational bodies, to trigger management measures and to collect data on its occurrence. A national interdisciplinary working group is organized and annual meetings are held.
