Detection of pathogens occurring in Echinops sphaerocephalus, their virulence and the susceptibility of accessions to the most relevant pathogens with regard to cultivating this plant species as renewable resource
Project
Project code: JKI-EP-08-2113
Contract period: 01.04.2007
- 31.12.2010
Purpose of research: Basic research
Aim of the studies is to identify which diseases are to be expected in the sphaerical thistle when this new crop will be under cultivation. The assessment of the susceptibility of accessions to the most relevant diseases should ensure that resistances existing potentially in the basic material can be included in the breeding process at an early date.
