Competition and population dynamics of weed species on arable land
Project
Project code: JKI-A-08-0012
Contract period: 01.01.2013
- 21.12.2019
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: sustainable plant protection, herbicide
Studies will be carried out on population dynamics and competitive behaviour of weed species in field crops. Experiments will be carried out in the greenhouse, as well as under semi-field and field conditions (e.g. germination, growth and development, seed production). The aim of these investigations is reducing the herbicide use by adapted cultivation methods (e.g. soil tillage, date of sowing, seed rates and mechanical weed control) and the development of sustainable strategies in the context of integrated plant protection.
