Purpose of research: Basic research
Cherry leaf spot, caused by fungus Blumeriella jaapii, is one of the most serious fungal diseases of sweet cherry. The objective of the investigations is to evaluate and to describe the resistance of diploid interspecific cross population to leaf spot. In result of these investigations resistant genotypes will be used in breeding and the inheritance of resistance should be studied.
