Purpose of research: Applied research
Program objectives focus on collecting and evaluating genetic resources for its use within resistance breeding. Plant material of Vitis species (wood, seeds) will be collected, basing upon the Vitis database regarding sources and in situ collections of various native distribution areas. This material will be evaluated and made available for breeding purposes and isolation of resistance genes within genetic analyses.
