Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
Maintenance, operation, updating and upgrading of an international database and internet portal for genetic resources of the genus Avena with passport, characterisation and evaluation data.The database currently comprises 98 tables. Passport data are available for 34.541 accessions. These represent 15.934 duplicate groups, which can be discriminated by passport data. Geographic data are available for 3.573 collecting or evaluation sites. 169.799 characterisation and evaluation points are documented for 3.134 accessions. A PHP application allows online search for passport-, characterisation- and evaluation data, information about experiments and evaluation methodology and photographs as well as alleles described in literature. Partly the information is also downloadable.
