The aim of the project is to support the small- and medium-sized privately owned forests in the conversion of the current forests into climate-adapted, low-risk forests. For this a cost-effective inventory system will be developed and knowledge regarding climate-adaption of forests will be provided in bundled form as consulting tools to the forestry cooperatives.The forestry cooperatives will thus be able to offer their members advice and services for the development of climate-adapted low-risk forests. In consideration of the climate mitigation strategies with an increased forest growing stock and efficient carbon storage in the forest product chain, the management guidance through the forestry cooperatives is intended to improve the management and productive function of the forests to sustainably benefit the forest owners.
