In agricultural crops (e.g. wheat, barley, rapeseed), the whole area is treated with pesticides, including the tramline area where no plants are located. An application of pesticides is not required. Here there is a particular risk of surface runoff in the tramline. In the project, theoretical savings potentials were calculated and various nozzle combinations were tested on laboratory test rigs to ensure uniform distribution of the liquid. Field trials were carried out for a common combination of tire and boom width. The trials indicate very good applicability for fungicides, insecticides and growth regulators. For weed control, the options are limited. The tramline control system can save up to 5 % of pesticides. The project partner Horsch Leeb system offers the system as an additional equipment for field sprayers.
