The requirements for the horticultural advisory services and practice concerning crop protection management have become increasingly complex in recent years. The heterogeneous structures of the horticulture sector are a large challenge for all actors in terms of data acquisition and processing. The actors need a simple and fast course of action to access the crucial information to implement the legal requirements in pesticide application. The course of action should be described in both human- and machine-readable data. Ideally, the underlying databases should reliably and legally secure interact at a regional, national and European level, for example using Linked Data principles. However, the previously developed information systems currently function as individual systems and, in the overall view, represent isolated solutions. The goal of this collaborative project is to demonstrate practical and working Linked Data principles to answer practical horticultural questions on crop protection. PS Info, a well established and widely used system that currently presents the BVL registration data, will be improved to find better answers to horticultural questions and thus act as an example of the use of Linked Data principles. At the end of the project, the system will demonstrate the opportunities resulting from this development. The goal of this collaborative project is to demonstrate practical and working Linked Data principles to answer practical horticultural questions on crop protection. The key activity of the collaborative project is to link expert information from various sources with the data of the pesticide application process. The relevant questions will be determined and structured. Suitable technlogies will be developed and established. Finally, the applicability of the results for the users will be verified.
