Collaborative project: Agrophotovoltaics as a resilience concept for adaptation to climate change in fruit growing. Subproject 3 (APV-Obstbau-BLE)

Project

Project code: 2819101CNZ
Contract period: 15.04.2020 - 14.04.2023
Purpose of research: Experimental development
Keywords: crop production, energy, energetic restructuring, modernisation, fruit production, climate, climate relevance, climate protection, climate change, pome, agricultural engineering, abiotic stress, socio-economics, integrated production systems

The overarching objective of the project applied for here is to contribute to increasing resilience in fruit growing and to contribute to resource-efficient land use in order to counter land use conflicts between ground mounted photovoltaic power plants and agriculture with new findings, techniques and actor constellations. The subordinate objective of the project is the development and implementation of an APV fruit cultivation prototype and its scientific monitoring. Fruit growing is the cultivation of pome fruit, stone fruit or soft fruit (wild fruit). The project is to be carried out using the example of tree fruit cultivation with the largest area under cultivation, the apple.
