IndORGANIC analyses the current state and potential of organic farming to improve food sustainability in Indonesia. We propose organic farming as a necessary transition of the food system which we see as a subsystem of the ecosystem. Considering organic farming as a way to achieve sustainable food production implies to start transformation processes touching upon distributive questions, conflicts about values and which demands institutional change.
