The new CAP focuses on programmes for sustainable and environment-friendly farming and rural development, on more flexibility in measures, on administrative simplifications. The Commission wants more focus on performance rather than rules. This is also the motivation for the NatApp. It should make it easier for both farmers and administrations to apply and implement agri-environmental and climate measures (AUKM). The App should offer extended access to the information of the measures and their regulations in the regions, but also enable a simplified and effective control in particular of small-scale nature conservation measures. For selected AUKM, documentation steps have been developed using modern technologies (GPS, tagging images, satellite systems), which are tested in practice and tested for their applicability. These should be of benefit to both the farmer and the administration. On the one hand, the App should be usable independently of the end devices and the field software of the farms and, on the other hand, it should be able to access existing digital information (such as field blocks). The project thus includes the validation of the documentation measures, the development of a NatApp prototype and the demonstration in selected pilot farms. Based on the results of the 'Conceptualisation of the nature conservation app in agricultural and administrative practice', work packages for the implementation of a practical NatApp were identified. The key aim of the project is the development and programming of a NatApp pilot version for 4 Federal States. To achieve routine operation of the future NatApp behind the development of a documentation and information tool as an App, a comprehensive interface management is absolutely necessary and must be planned from the beginning. Due to the high demands on data protection as well as data security and integrity at the operational and administrative level, risk management must be ensured during the development of the NatA
