Innotech will support the University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana in the consortium research project UPGRADE Plus (sub-project 2) in the development and production of modular, decentralized and effective processing units that can be operated with renewable energies. Innotech will pay particular attention to minimizing the specific energy requirements of the individual machines or machine components - the basic prerequisite for the economical use of photovoltaic drive line systems. Extensive tests of individual components are carried out on Innotech test benches. Based on the results of the test bench investigations, Innotech will develop and build prototypes of the various units. In order to carry out the processing under hygienic conditions, clean and warm water must be available in sufficient quantities. The warm water is to be made available via simple plastic collectors. Innotech will develop a novel manufacturing process for the cost-effective production of film collectors with high operational reliability. Further activities of Innotech include the cooperation in the development of guidelines for the production of innovative food products from rarely used species (sgS) and the field trials in the 3 selected countries. Innotech will carry out parts of trainings of users, craftsmen and students. Domestic and foreign students have the opportunity to conduct tests on Innotech test benches.
