Project code: BfR-LMS-08-1322-342
Contract period: 01.04.2008 - 31.12.2008
Purpose of research: Basic research

The use of nanoparticles as a carrier for bioactive substances in foods is an ongoing method to improve the bioavailability of the substances. To examine the cellular uptake of metal oxid nanoparticles in the intestine appropriate enterocytic cell cultures will be used. Important is a comparison of the different ways into the body. Furthermore, the intracellular localization of the NPs will be studied in the model.
