CERES aims to implement a cooperative cloud platform for agriculture. CERES aims to increase the competitiveness of domestic agricultural companies by improving the individual and animal-friendly keeping of farm animals and creating transparency for consumers. Agricultural data (e.g. sensor data, weather data, geodata) are merged in CERES. Intuitive evaluation services based on a hybrid approach of cloud-based and embedded AI (artificial intelligence directly at the end device) are used to obtain information for the agricultural business from the heterogeneous data sets. CERES will remain in the hands of the farms as a cooperative platform. Data can be exchanged with other participants via a user rights management system. The voluntary association for joint evaluation of the collected data can improve the quality and the accuracy of the algorithms. The company keeps the sovereignty over its data (data sovereignty) and at the same time is involved in the value chain of the data economy.
