Project code: JKI-PB-08-1217
Contract period: 01.05.2015 - 30.04.2021
Purpose of research: Applied research

InnoSoilPhos develops solutions for optimizing the soil phosphorus (P) fertility as a basis of future bio-economy at much lower levels of phosphate rock mining (worst case = zero) and higher prices for mineral P fertilizer at the global scale. Therefore, the knowledge basis for the sufficient and efficient use of soil P in agriculture shall be improved by (1) maintaining and enhancing the soil P fertility, and (2) developing, testing and applying new technologies and products that close the P cycle and, thereby, save the global P resources. Furthermore, the corresponding socio-economic and political/legal frame of an optimized agricultural P use is developed to translate science findings into societal practice.
