Collaborative project: Development of high-throughput plant phenotyping technologies to screen agronomic and physiological traits in field based experimentation – Subproject 1
Project
Project code: 2815303207
Contract period: 01.04.2008
- 31.03.2011
Budget: 222,148 Euro
Purpose of research: Experimental development
The project aims to develop technologies that will enable the high-throughput precision phenotyping in field based experimentation. This novel concept should increase throughput, allow to record plant growth automatically, remove subjectivity from assay scoring and decrease laborious scoring tasks. The project includes the development of new, advanced sensors and spectral algorithms to evaluate plant performance with advanced high-throughput phenotyping sensor systems. The project is both scientifically novel and potentially of great economical importance, and will lead to the demonstration and implementation of high-throughput precision phenotyping technologies in field based experimentation.
