Goal:
- Generation of complete transcriptome maps
- In-depth analysis of 100 transcripts
Purpose:
- Generate new and unique complete transcriptome maps of one hybrid and its respective parents from the IRRI hybrid rice breeding collection
- Investigate heterosis in rice by generating transcriptome maps using a genome-wide approach based on Illumina technology available at the Max Planck Institute for
Developmental Biology and signature validation based on the Ge-XP platform available at
IRRI.
