Evaluation of active secondary compounds of parsley depending on the genetic disposition and on the cultivation conditions
Project
Project code: JKI-ÖPV-08-1264
Contract period: 01.04.2007
- 31.03.2009
Purpose of research: Basic research
The entire collection of parsley (approx. 200 accessions) is cultivated by IGK and IPK in 2007 both in Quedlinburg and in Gatersleben. First the existing chemotypes are identified by analyzing of the essential seed oils. By the investigation of the leaf material of different harvest cuts and of two cultivation places genetic factors can be differentiated from location factors. In addition secondary compound pattern can be compared with agro-technical and morphologic characteristics. Seeds and leaf samples serve also for the calibration of a NIR-method, this method can be used for the nondestructive investigation of any parsley samples.
