Distribution and growing of thermophlie weeds in consideration of the global change
Project
Project code: JKI-A-08-062
Contract period: 01.01.2013
- 31.12.2019
Purpose of research: Applied research
Themophilic weed species have increased significantly in recent years. Beside lower crop yield due to competition for water and nutrients also grain contamination is of importance for several of these species like Datura stramonium producing tropan alkaloids. Due to gaps in the activity spectum of some herbicides or due to a very late emergence of these species control programs are often difficult. The aim of the studies is to improve the knowledge about biology and population dynamics and about competiveness of selected weed species (Amarant- and Datura-species) with greenhouse and field trials. Furthermore control options with herbicides and non-chemical methods are studied for these weeds.
