Project code: DFG SFB 670
Contract period: 01.01.2006 - 31.12.2010
Purpose of research: Basic research

Perception of bacterial flagellin in Arabidopsis is mediated by the receptor kinase FLS2, which triggers several cell-autonomous defense responses, activation of signalling cascades, and is cellularly endocytosed from plasma membranes. Here, we will investigate flagellin-mediated endocytosis in detail: regulatory factors will be identified, FLS2 containing vesicles will be protein biochemically determined, subcellular dynamic interactions of identified proteins with FLS2 will be observed, and FLS2 endocytosis as well as host resistance in respective mutants will be analyzed.
