Purpose of research: Basic research

A comparative study on contamination levels of cod liver and corresponding cod muscle samples with dioxins and dioxin like PCBs in relation to different fishing grounds of the Baltic Sea, North Sea and the North Atlantic and to different sizes of the fishes will be performed. The data will give back ground information on the possible influence of biological parameters and fishing areas on the contamination of commercial available products from cod liver.
