By implementing council directive 2003,99,EC and preparing the implementation of regulation (EC) No. 2160,2003 comprehensive data are collected. Baseline studies on the prevalence of salmonella in several animal populations have been completed already or will be completed in 2007 which provide for representative data. In this project the usage of GIS systems for the presentation and analysis of these data will be explored and suitable procedures implemented.
