Project code: BfR-LMS-08-1322-473
Contract period: 01.03.2011 - 31.12.2011
Purpose of research: Applied research

Ingested nanoparticle will be absorbed in the intestine after crossing the acidic environment of the stomach. The particles come into contact and interact with body fluids and with the ingested foods. These interactions may influence the intestinal toxicity of the nanoparticles. Therefore, the influence of the digestion processe on the toxicity of silver nanoparticles should be studied using simulated gastrointestinal fluids.
