SFB/TRR 32 Project B1 Phase 1: Characterizing spatio-temporal patterns of water and C-fluxes at field-scale
Project
Project code: keine Angaben
Contract period: 01.01.2007
- 01.01.2010
Purpose of research: Basic research
The main goal of this project section is to identify and relate spatial and temporal structures of soil state variables like water content and soil temperature to carbon dioxide exchange fluxes and evapotranspiration fluxes in the soil-plant-atmosphere system at field scale. We aim at quantifying the sinks and sources of water and carbon dioxide at the soil-plant-atmosphere interface from laboratory and field experiments. Special emphasis will be placed on the combined application of remote sensing and hydro-geophysical techniques to measure important state variables of the soil and to quantify water and carbon dioxide fluxes.
